El Rios Pedigree is full of great foundation Appaloosas , such as Sunspot Revel, Toby,  Money Creek Rockledge, Siri Shiek, Tomahawk, Sundance, El Morocco  and many more...very strong shuffler genes, Her pedigree is 97% leopard to leopard breeding, Her sire was a beautiful leopard and dam was a 16'2  black mare with white spots over entire body. We are cutting back on our breeding program and selling some of our best brood mares. We will be focusing on a very small Walkaloosa and Gaited Appaloosa program.  Rio is a sweet heart but she is not a gaited mare although she has some very strong gaited genes and her 2008 colt did show a very strong lateral gait, she is one of the nicest mares we have for beauty and temperament. Long mane and tail touches the ground.  She is very well bred. She had a beautiful Grulla colt with characteristics and was changing daily. He was accidentally kicked by another mare and has since passed away. He was a beautiful boy. On her foal heat she was exposed to an F5 black few spot for 2009 March foaling date. She has not appeared to come back in season that we can tell at this time. The foal will be an F6 100% foundation. You can do anything with this mare she is that sweet. She will let you pick her feet up, check her teeth, stands for bathing, shots and worming. She is not yet started under saddle although it would take nothing to get her riding, She has the temperament and superb attitude that would just walk off nicely.
